It seemed that Jayson Tatum's thunderous dunk over LeBron James as a rookie in game 7 of the 2018 eastern conference finals had cemented him as the future of the franchise. However the tide seems to be turning and this finals run feels a lot different than the one 2 years prior.

Tatum has mightily struggled these playoffs putting up some awful shooting splits and at times completely taken out of the offense. Mainstream sports media and social media has loved every second of it, dropping him for Anthony Edwards like a child with a new toy.

Jaylen Brown and Derrick White have been getting the praise and attention during this post season run for their stellar play.

Jaylen Brown is the highest paid player in NBA history, but that fact aside he has really stepped up into a potential #1 option on a finals team. Serious questions if Boston makes the finals without Brown's late game heroics vs Indiana. His consistent play through all 3 rounds landed him the MVP for the Eastern conference. People took notice of his play, resulting in him seeing a 22% market gain in the last month.

Derrick White has become more than just a role player, over the last year he has really blossomed into a fantastic player. He has averaged 18/5/4 shooting 40% from three so far through three rounds. While his statistics are not better than Tatum, he has exceeded expectation and won them games.
