With the deadline rapidly approaching this upcoming Thursday, it is safe to assume at least one notable trade will be made. With that being said, is it possible for you to profit in the short term off players being moved? Not only is it possible, we can see a trend year after year of players seeing an immediate bump after being traded. • Aaron Gordon Prizm Base PSA 10 saw a dramatic 141% price increase in just 1 week aftering being traded
• Nikola Vucevic Prizm Base PSA 10 was trending around $285 with two sales before the deadline. Vucevic was not in many trade rumors, with the announcement of the trade that took many by surprise, the card sold on buy now for $599, 560, and $600.
• Victor Oladipo Prizm Base PSA 10 went from $147.50 to $280 after being traded to Miami
• Andre Drummond (buyout) Prizm Base PSA 10 sold for $378 after he was  bought out followed by $637 the day he signed with the Lakers.

More recently with Rui Hachimura you can even see a bump in his market. Despite being extremely underwhelming in his first four seasons and deemed a bust by many. He even saw a bump after being traded to the Lakers after a steady fall every year since 2020.

It is important to keep in mind, this bump typically only positively affects the player going to the contender or team trying to win in the case of the Lakers.
